Yes, I wonder why there is so much more spam in this group than in any other.

Pity that the minix guys chose to move to google groups. Ah, well. That's

Because at one time this newsgroup was almost overwhelmed with spam,
most of the activity for Minix moved to the minix3 mailing list at
GoogleGroups. Mailing lists can be controlled by requiring human
intervention for subscription, thereby eliminating the spammers. Alas,
newsgroups (except those few which are moderated) cannot.
