installing jesred but getting remove kernel image

I installed squid2.7stable3 e and I'm installing jesred 1.2p11-16 by
aptitude.
Aptitude shows package "linux-image-2.6.26-2-686" will be removed,
while "linux-image-2.6-686" will be removed due to unsatisfied
dependencies.

Is't right aptitude remove these 2 packages ?

Do you also have another version of linux-image installed?
Try "apt-cache depends jesred" to see if there is a ">" or "<" version
dependency on linux-image. I'm using Xubuntu Jaunty and I don't see
linux-image in the depends. The kernel version here is 2.6.28-11.
Maybe jesred depends on a package that depends on the linux-image version.
