Hi,

I'm using the latest version of Oracle Unbreakable Linux on a HP DLxxx
server. I select all the features and perform the installation without
a problem. The server reboots and gives a variety of message before
having a "panic" and rebooting itself. One of the messages I could see
on the screen was:

"usb1-1 device not accepting address 2 error 71"

I've searched about and found its something to do with the module
loading order. I hope this is the case. I'm working through the
various suggestions and will post my findings when I find the answer.
I would appreciate suggestions from anyone who's been through a
similar problem.

Regards,

G

Try unplugging all usb devices, unless you are booting from a usb drive.
Note, however, that "usb device not accepting address" is not necessarily
a fatal error. I get that whenever my Palm handheld is plugged in.
