Hi!

How can i type the Spanish characters and accents with my UK keyboard? Under
w95, i just press ALT + Num Lock + 164 to obtain the ñ (this letter which
follows the n and goes before the o is unique to Spanish). If i change the
default keyboard to "es" (Spanish) the kernel will change my keyboard layout
in such a way that i won't be able to find my way around it anyome. Actually,
if i switch to "es" my UK keyboard will no longer be a UK keyboard but a
Spanish one. Thing is, i just wanna do the same thing i do under w95 whenever
i have to type a Spanish character with my UK keyboard.

Yes, i have read the Spanish HOWTO and other docs but as far as i can tell it
only applies to Spanish keyboards. There is this excerpt which goes "Para
decirle al nucleo que hablamos español y que estamos en España" which means
"To tell the kernel that we speak Spanish and we are in Spain". "We are in
Spain" MEANS "we are using a Spanish keyboard which features the keys for
the Spanish accents/letters and characters".

My distribution is Red Hat 5.2 and KDE is my default desktop environment.

PS.- i wrote this using w95.
