Hey Folks,

I have searched but am not finding a doc. I have clients with Linux
firewalls and I want to use IPSEC to access their network from Mac and
Windows machines similar to how I can with a Cisco VPN. Anybody know
where there is a doc? I have CentOS 5.7 on the one I am currently
needing to access. I will want to do this from a command line as I can
ssh to the machine.

Thanks,
Robert

Also, Clients will be Windows and Mac so I would want something that
can work with the Cisco VPN client on Windows and therefore the builtin
Mac client.

Thanks again,
Robert

[strongSwan] Strognswan with Cisco VPN client again

It seems to work now. Thank you very much.

Hmm, I see no indication he is connecting from a Windows or Mac or how
the client would be configured on Windows or Mac.

Can someone please help?

Thanks,
Robert

So no one knows how to connect Mac and Windows clients to a Linux IPSEC VPN?

Thanks,
Robert

This is a *Linux* networking newsgroup.

For help with Macintosh and Windows clients, you need to
ask in a Macintosh or Windows newsgroup.

Maybe your problem is that there is a plethora of VPN clients for
both OS X and Windows, some of them using non-public protocols.

Please specify a bit better what you do want, so we can tell if
it is doable. VPN (even with the Layer 2 specified) is a far too
wide specification.

For open source connectivity, my favourite is OpenVPN, although it
runs on top of UDP, instead of the Layer 2 mess.
