  Hello! &lt;br&gt; I have the same problem. &lt;br&gt; I have found a possible solution in an other newsgroup. I have not tested it yet. &lt;br&gt; This is the advice: &lt;br&gt; Cups- &lt;br&gt; Go to /etc/cups &lt;br&gt; remove comment of octet-stream in mime.convs and mime.types. &lt;br&gt; remove comment of msword in one of the two indicated files (don&#39;t remember!) &lt;br&gt; Hope it will work.

  I finally found the information in the form that I could understand. All I had to do was &lt;br&gt; add NETWORKING_IPV6=yes to /etc/sysconfig/network and then run the script that I found at &lt;br&gt; the following link.   IPv6 is not supported in the internet yet. If you want to send ipv6 packages &lt;br&gt; over the internet, you will have to tunnel them in an ipv4 tunnel. try &amp;quot;man &lt;br&gt; ifconfig&amp;quot; and search for the keyword &amp;quot;tunnel&amp;quot;. Keep in mind, that the other side &lt;br&gt; of the connection will also have to support ipv6, which is not obvious.

  I am trying to setup my RedHat 9 with 2.4.20-28.9 kernel to connect to IPv6 domains. The &lt;br&gt; ipv6 module is loaded at boot but I can&#39;t ping6 any IPv6 domains. My D-Link DFE-530TX+ NIC &lt;br&gt; is connected to a cable modem. Not knowing what might be helpful I&#39;ve included everything &lt;br&gt; I could find. I will provide any additional information that you need to provide suggestions.

  Agree with that. I have the same configuration, using Fedora as &lt;br&gt; printserver. Shares are OK and can be seen and used by Windows XP. The &lt;br&gt; printer can be seen by XP, but not used (acces denied). Strange enough &lt;br&gt; there is a folder Printer/ Faxmachines, which has an icon to the &lt;br&gt; printer and I am able to print a testmessage in that way.

  If CUPS is already set up to use the printer, then that should be just &lt;br&gt; about all you need. You may need to add the machine or subnet to &lt;br&gt; cupsd.conf.   You migh want to check one of the Samba web sites. Also, &lt;br&gt; have you tried setting the printer to browseable = yes and &lt;br&gt; then see if you can install the networked printer on the &lt;br&gt; XP machine, in the Run text input box \\Linux-Desktop\?-- &lt;br&gt; what&#39;s the printer name?
