Help Printing from WinXP to Fedora via SAMBA
I am running Fedora core 1 on my desktop and WinXP on a notebook. I am able to share files between the 2 machines just fine. I am having trouble printing from the WinXP machine thru SAMBA. With my current smb.conf file I am able to (seemingly) install the network printers on WinXP (they are physically connected to the desktop) but when I go to print nothing... more »

DOS MS Client v3 and EFG80
Hi All. Hope someone can provide a solution for a problem I'm having with my LinkSys EFG80 NAS. The device works great when used as a file server in a home and small office network with Windows 95 on up to Windows 2003 servers and Linux workstations, however whenever I attempt to boot a workstation client from a network boot disk w/ MSClient for DOS v3(MSDOS 5 on up), it... more »

Wireless under Redhat 9.0 and Slackware 9.0
As are most others in the Linux community, I'm tired of jacking around with hardware vendors who refuse to support their products with Linux drivers. I have an Intel Pro 2100 in my Toshiba laptop and D-Link Air Extreme in my desktop both of which have no drivers (not that I can find at least) for operation under Linux. Does anybody have a suggestion for... more »

SIS900 00:00:00:00:00:00 MAC solution
Hello World, Haven't make NNTP posting for a long time... Anyways, I was trying to get Slackware 9.0 to run on a P4 motherboard with NIC onboard.. Slackware detected the NIC and use SIS900.o. However upon reboot, I notice the MAC address looks very wrong -> 00:00:00:00:00:00. Interesting enough, if I... more »
