Subject: keyboard
I have a Swedish keyboard with our special characters. I use an SSH
connection to our Linux cluster. I would much prefer to use an
international keyboard there.

Can I change some environmental variable to achieve that?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Håkan Lane

See: loadkeys, if you're using ssh from the console,
or:  xmodmap,  if you're using ssh from X window.

Note that the keyboard mapping has to be done at the local host, ssh
does not send key events to the remote host, only a pure ASCII stream.

However, with some programs you could play tricks. For example, emacs
is able to remap any character from the input stream.  But still you
would not get key events (no modifier key).
