Does any one know of a floppy boot disk iso that will enable the cd rom
drive to act as a boot disk? My old laptop will not boot from the cd rom
drive. I went into the bios and tried to make it boot from the cd rom drive,
but it isn't possible. I want to install damn small linux.

Thanks in advance for your response.

P.s. thanks to everyone that responded last night!

Check if there are installation boot disk images on the
CD. Most distros have them together with the rawrite
utility which can copy the disk images to floppies
under Windows.

A bootable CD is shown under BIOS as a replacement
diskette with 1.44 Mbyte or 2.88 Mbyte size. If
it is the small one, it might be possible to be
used for booting. A 2.88 Mbyte image is more difficult:
it is larger then most floppy drives are ready to handle.

For details, Google for 'El Torito Specification'.

... depends on the distro - some offer floppy boot images.
