Hello all,
I am trying to backup my FC2, which is running in a 4GB HDD to a DVD RW
regularly. In short I want to create a bootable DVD image. I have
search thru Googe and got some info + running some tests. The image I
can create, but the image is *NOT* bootable at all.
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Bootdisk-HOWTO/cd-roms.html
http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/archive/index.php/t-1272.html
I think my problem is in the creation of the boot.img, but I don't know
how to create a boot image properly in FC2. Can somebody give me some
hint (or show me the command) in how to create a bootable DVD iso image
properly ?
*FC2 cannot create the boot image in a floppy*
Some error output..
[root@fagi root]# /sbin/mkbootdisk --verbose --iso --device boot.iso
`uname -r`
Installing isolinux... done
Copying /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.6_FC2... done.
Copying /boot/initrd-2.6.9-1.6_FC2.img... done.
Configuring bootloader... done.
Unknown file type (unallocated) /tmp/mkbootdisk.OB2867/.. - ignoring
and continuing.
Thanks
