lpd[3258]: protocol screwup
And then the daemon will not allow any other system to print. Has anyone
know what this mean? I'm printing over TCP/IP and my linux box has RedHat
6.1 with lpr-0.46-1.
thanks

Windows 2000 is alpha class software. It has even more bugs that most MS
software. Youare running it in order to help MS find the bugs. Report
this bug to Microsoft.
I disagree with this statement... I have win2000 printing to lpd via samba
perfectly well... I am using Build 2183 (RC3)... I wouldn't recommend
anything
less than 2128 (RC2) for using networked printing... They have only
just recently sorted out some major netowrking flaws...

Although I recently switched to a Samba-based solution, I had previously
been successfully printing from Win2k RC1-3 via LPD to an RH6.0/1 box.
The printer on the RH box is an HP LJ4M and I use the
"HP LaserJet 4/4M PS" driver on the Win2K box...
