Subject: Recommendations for a 17" monitor
I'll be purchasing a 17" monitor soon and would appreciate any
recommendations or warnings about monitors. I need (want) one that
can do 1280x1024 at greater than 75 hz. (My monitor at work only does
60 hz at that resolution and I get a splitting headache after about
30 minutes of use).

From what I've seen so far, the ctx1785gm is one of the cheapest monitors
that will meet this requirement. ($700). But I've heard negative
reports about ctx monitors and problems with ctx in getting repairs
and/or replacements. I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest
monitor, but money is always a consideration.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,
  Peter Mattis
