Subject: Problem: CL-PD6730 PCMCIA-PCI Bridge

Hello World,

I have problems with my PCMCIA Adapter in a PCI Notebook.
The cardmgr tells me: "no sockets found!"

What's wrong or who can point me to new releases or patches
of the PCMCIA package that supports the PCI-to-PCMCIA bridge ?

According to the Linux PCMCIA-HOWTO v1.88, 1996/09/29
it should work. Which version of the PCMCIA package
matches that description ?
(I am using the PCMCIA-Package Version 2.8.22)

The notebook hardware is:

Notebook: SNI SCENIC Mobile 700
          Pentium 133MHz, 40MB RAM, 1.4Gbyte

PCI-to-PCMCIA Hostadapter: Cirrus-Logic CL-PD6730 PCI-to-PC Card Host
Adapter
   siehe: http://www.cirrus.com/prodtech/ov.hostadapter/index.html
          http://www.cirrus.com/prodtech/ov.hostadapter/pd6730.html
(if my interpretation of these datasheets is correct then these chips
    are compatible to the i82365)

PCMCIA-Network-Card: 3Com 3c589C
