on the DECpc, aka the DEC 2000 Model 300. This is because it has an
EISA bus, which Linux already supports, whereas all the DEC 3000 model
machines have a TurboChannel bus, which it does not. I suppose someone
could write TurboChannel drivers, and then the Alpha version should
work, but what I had heard sure made it sound like the EISA-bus PC
was the target. Also, TurboChannel drivers are of questionable value,
since DEC is moving away from it towards PCI. Of course, an Alpha/PCI
system should be able to run the Alpha Linux port too...
