  The real beauty of fvwm is its configurability. It can be configured &lt;br&gt; to behave as you have discovered. It can also be configured to behave &lt;br&gt; differently in the case you&#39;ve discovered.

  I&#39;ve also noticed that in FVWM, if you keep the left ALT key in you can &lt;br&gt; use the left, middle and right mouse buttons (even over application &lt;br&gt; windows), and it acts as if you clicked on the root desktop window. So &lt;br&gt; it seems to ignore the location of the mouse pointer, and send the mouse &lt;br&gt; event directly to the root window. I found this feature by accident. :-)

  In the US, except for public TV, the tv stations are supported by &lt;br&gt; advertising, and even public tv now has something similiar to ads. &lt;br&gt; The cost to people watching is the time wasted watching the ads. &lt;br&gt; As for ad supported web sites, I&#39;d apply the same argument.   That would be a huge security problem if you would do so. The &lt;br&gt; user then could execute arbitrary code with all the permissions &lt;br&gt; the kernel has. And not only that: any bug in your program could &lt;br&gt; crash the whole kernel. Neither is acceptable in a multi-tasking, &lt;br&gt; multi-user system. &lt;br&gt; How do you expect this to work?   Rather bizzare point of view. There are thousands of television and radio &lt;br&gt; stations and millions of websites (including Google, Yahoo, etc.) that &lt;br&gt; deliver free content.
