And why would someone want to do that?
For example, IE has a tendency to behead pdf files and then complain
that the resultant bloody mess is not a pdf file.

Well, I do it to see what sort of un-holy mess IE renders my web pages as.
(Never a sentence a preposition end with.)
That - after I see to it that they verify correctly and display properly
in konqueror, FireFox, and Opera.
