Android Outsells the iPhone - No Big Surprise
"Retail research kingpin the NPD Group is reporting that Android-based
phones are now outselling iPhones. Or at least they did last quarter in
terms of unit sales in the U.S. according to NPD's study, which found
that RIM's BlackBerries held 36 percent of the market, phones running
Google's Android had 28 percent, and the iPhone was at 21 percent."

Android Outsells iPhone in the US
"In the first quarter of 2010, Android phones outsold the iPhone in the
US by a huge margin. Android smartphones accounted for 28% of the market,
while the iPhone takes up 21%."
I am sure you will find ways to dismiss the above information.

It doesn't matter what you posted. "Advocates" said that NPD are a bunch of
liars and cannot be trusted because their "business model" is to lie. So
this invalidates these numbers. Sorry loser but you can't have it both ways.
Incidentally, the "analysts sell out" item is plaintiff's exhibit 3096 in
Comes v. Microsoft.

A friend of mine works for NPD and they are on the level
and very well respected in the industry. There is no way
they would risk the future of the company by providing
false data.
Schestowitz as usual is full of crap.
He only hears, reads, what he wants to see and hear.

Those are figures for the U.S. only.
Actually, those figures are wrong.

RIM: 35%
iPhone: 28%
Windows mobile: 19%
Android: 9%
When it's Mac market share, only U.S. figures count.
When it's smart phone market share U.S. figures don't count.
Whichever way makes Apple look best.
Got it.
Don't forget to buy an iPhone in two weeks like you said you're going to.
