Security is one of those funny things. You can talk about being "more"
secure, but there's no such thing. A vulnerability is a vulnerability, and
even one makes you just as insecure as anyone else. Security is a binary
condition, either you are or you aren't. - Funkenbusch 1 Oct 2006

I'm surprised I even maintained that position with Google Groups... I don't
deserve this because I couldn't confortably post any followups. I'll try to
make up for it in the week to come. Thank you, Roy, for the biased
statistics.

Best wishes,

Roy

Seeing as I don't post much and Roy S posts so many informative new
articles I think your 3rd place is an honour indeed. :-)

I do mark wintrolls down but you would have thought Erik would have
snuck in somehow. Must be the huge amount of quoted text I presume.

> I'm surprised I even maintained that position with Google Groups...

The stats ain't biased against google groups. There is no need as
trolls are not determined by who they post from. :-)

Using google groups is a pain if you have any regard for usenet
netiquette. I wouldn't worry about it. You score high because of the
number of your posts with original content.

> Thank you, Roy, for the biased statistics.

Thank you Roy. You have transformed COLA for the better. I for one
really appreciate your efforts. The side effect of pissing off the
MS trolls is a mere, but most enjoyable, result.

Keep up the great work laddie!

I agree - they're extremely useful and have made Cola an excellent

Your prize is being named in Roy Skullcap's boring, fixed statistics.

Only someone as small minded and imbecilic as Roy could have the
following statistics and believe them:

Mark Kent? Quality posts? Roy Culley, quality posts?

I tell you what - the next time I fly to the other side of the world,
I'm taking my laptop and reading a few of Mark's posts as we taxi for
take off. I'll wake up at the destination as fresh as a daisy. That's
how boring he is.

I think Roy's algorithm is something like this

if(this->features(NO_SENSE|ME_TOO) || this->from("Roy Culley"))
addToQualitySection(this);

By quoting the entire article to add a single inane comment places you
far lower than 'Troll Feeder'. Arsehole comes to mind.

You are an ignorant twat that is for sure. You are using google groups
which is a rather pathetic tool for reading news. I've posted before on
how to do descent followups using google. Search the google archives.

Even worse, you add my .sig. You really need to learn a bit of
netiquette before posting to newsgroups.

But his newsreader DOES hide the quoted text with a click.
Does yours?

Acting like a net-nanny is usually a sign of defeat.
You'd be a natural in the Suse group with houghi and his group of net
nannies.

Did anyone tell you that you're full of shit? You never offer any opinion
that isn't Roy's. I reckon your "me too" keys must be worn out.

So I should search the archives and read a post using a "rather
pathetic tool for reading news?" I can hide the quoted text so it
doesn't bother me. Use a filter.

scat...@hotmail.com Rather close to Scott Nudds, dontcha think? Seems
like the twat morphed, to avoid killfiles. As an aside, Hotmail is now
appearing on blocklists as they don't do anything about spam.

Nice detective work Sherlock Holmes. Now go look at some of my previous
work and you'll see why it's so close to Scott Nudds. So you guys can
killfile, filter, do all kinds of crazy nasty things with your glorious
newsreaders, but you can't hide quoted text with a click? It's the
little things man. As an aside, if people don't want their dumbass
.sigs showing up in replies then perhaps they shouldn't put them in in
the first place.

Mine can.

It can automatically remove sigs when I replay as well.

Looks like Thunderbird beats Google groups.
