It doesn't serve them very well at all - most are just too ignorant to
know any better.  They're like battered women who think that getting
beat is normal.  Basically Microsoft is the Sandusky of modern
computing.  However that is changing, as evidenced by Apple's increased
success in the business and enterprise markets.
Conficker would not have happened if more used OSX or any other unix
like OS.

If Apple is so bad, why did AutoCAD develop a completely new version
native to OSX?
