Unfortunately Microsoft wormed it's way into the govt here in Australia long
ago, with a permanent paid lobbyist residing in Canberra (seat of Govt in
Oz)
Parliament was even recalled *just* to hear Bill Gates speak, the only time
it has ever happened to my knowledge.
As a result Microsoft software is mandated in most government areas,
including schools, and government departments in Australia.
And now of course, Australians are paying the price for this debacle, and I
guess we will just go on paying and paying ....

Hopefully just as many as got sacked when Canonical's Ubuntu servers were
compromised.
Oh it's not so. Not the O/S of the gods (Linux) it got hacked?
Keep in mind that dumfuck is a serial liar.
You're right there with him from what I have seen and interacted with
you concerning Vista. The pot is calling the kettle black.
Some minion who had no input into IT decisions and who has no important
connections. This is what usually happens in these situations.

Gentoo Linux - Penguin Power
And Zero Gonads "forgot" something else - DFS was not lying. The Ubuntu
servers were indeed hacked.
Linux Web servers get hacked just like the rest of them. To think
otherwise would be foolishness.
But most of them here seem to be dreaming that Linux doesn't get hacked,
not with God's O/S -- noway. <snicker>
Yeah, the perp will be promoted, shifted sideways and given a pay rise.
...and an OA.

Nope, AFAIK, contractor hired to provided the service in US got
sacked. Helps to be competent, no matter the OS.
