It seems many people are having problems with IE8 since it tabs keep
hanging. Worse, its performance degrades after time and becomes
unusable after a couple of hours or browsing. And Microsucks says NO
fixes are forthcoming because...there IS NO PROBLEM.
This again examplifies the shoddy workmanship at M$ where everything is
driven by deadlines and 'featuritis', not quality or security. The
performance degredation is something anemic to Windows and Microsoft
applications in general.
Windows 7, I HATE IT ALREADY!!!
I can confirm this behaviour on my Vista machine at work. It pisses me
of regularly.

If true: very sad.
It's a good thing alternative browsers are just a download away. F/OSS
saves the day, day after day :-)

By all accounts IE8 is light years ahead of earlier versions of IE.
You have Firefox to thank for that. Microsoft devoted no resources to
IE in the years after the defeat of Netscape---why should they? They
had a monopoly. It was only when Firefox came out with a better
product (for free) that Microsoft started to improve IE. They're
still trying to catch up, it seems.
Of course IE (in its various versions) was in the front lines of
"extend, extinguish". I know people who worked for Netscape in the
days it was owned by AOL. They tell me of how IE was designed to work
with web sites slightly out of spec, while Netscape was designed to
spec. Web designers would test their sites on IE and they would
work. Then users would try Netscape, find it wouldn't work (because
the web sites were out of spec) and blame Netscape.
Thanks to Firefox and its current market share, which cannot be
ignored by serious web designers, Microsoft's strategy of subverting
standards in this area has failed. We can thank FOSS for a lot.
There are bigger things happening now in IT than micoshaft.
Google average share trading bigger than Micoshaft Corporation.
Average $1.6 billion worth of shares trade in Google every day.
Micoshaft just around $1.5 billion.
Micosahft can't afford to pay engineers to repair its free products.
Manufacturers will soon follow Google (a Linux company), Android
and Chrome because micoshaft is not big in comparison at least
as far as investors believe and trust in each company stock.
If micoshaft is genuinely being giving it away for free, they could get
smart and release it under GPL.
May be if they released it for Linux with the source code under GPL, then
someone can post a patch which they can copy back to IE without
having to pay for royalties.

How would you know 7?
You work as a dustman.
Next month it will be all about Windows 7 and Linux, once again,
will become a non-contender.
Well, Linux has always been a non contender, but it will have
lost it's best chance at the desktop, Vista.

Thats you with your ritual fraud and ritual asstroturfing again.
Are you just irritated that Google is winning the game?
Google share trading bigger than Micoshaft Corporation
------------------------------------------------------
Average $1.6 billion worth of shares trade in Google while
Micoshaft is second with just around $1.5 billion.
What happened?
Do micoshaft share holders all now come with a small pepe?
Google seems to keep one larger than a canoe in their trousers!
Is this the end of micoshaft?
There is no hope for micoshaft to catch Google with share trading volume.
Micoshaft will crumble.
In terms of trading volume and popularity, google is bigger and more popular
with millionairs, banks and trading houses.
Manufacturers should go with Google for manufacturing next round of
smartphones, android phones, netbooks and smartbooks with Chrome on it.
