Neither DFS nor Zeke have any justification in claiming others to be a
"piece of shit". Most of their exchanges are of the lying, insulting,
uncomprehending, mistaken calibre of the exchange in the sig. I've
never even come close to making the statements they attribute to me
below.

When the subject of type warnings came up here, Linosuck told the guy to
"cast" them away. This is a sign of a poor programmer. casting is
normally only common when the typing of the program is poor and HENCE
the compiler is warning you. A properly written C program rarely uses
casts since the casting is type safe and implicit.
He also supported Peter's absurd claim that dereferencing a null pointer
in C is just dandy ....
Draw your own conclusions.
My experience is any one who takes the piss out of a language is
normally a twit. VB does a great job for what it was intended to do.
I'd like to see Liarmutt or Koehlmann knock up the UIs and underlying
data processing you can do in 10 minutes in VB in their C and GTK cross
platform widgets.
