When MS do release bug fixes, it is usually for a very small percentage
of known bugs, and mostly ones that are at least several months if not
years old.

take a look - you'll find them. One that leaps immediately to mind was
the boffo in '98 that made the machine shut down after less than a month.
Physically impossible to have 30 days of uptime. MS new about it from the
get-go and never bothered to fix it.
