Ubuntu Lurid crapware: upgrade destroyed victim's address book

"Well I think you, developers had made a good job. Upgrade from 9.1 did
work fine.
But, I experienced problem with akonadi, loosing my address book !!!!
Big issue for me.

I tried to fix it following the wiki (don't remenber where it is but
somewhere in kde.org).
It did not solve anyhting. Worse : I am not able any more to lunch
kontact, kaddressbook or kamail or korganizer. Really big issue for me.

The funny thing is that I get information saying that I had received
some mails, which shows that somehow kmail is working I guess. But it is
impossible to open it!"
