Why not choose the more sophisticated way....
|
| |
If you want to read a learned lesson. please read my story at [link] It's describing my way how to transfer files to my older Compaq (from a newer QuadCore machine), and finally also how to get the CP/M files to the disks. The point was, I decided to connect the modern PC with the... more »

Looking for a Schematic/manual for an S.C. Digital 286 CPU Board
|
| |
A group called S.C. Digital made some great S-100 boards towards the end of the S-100 era. The company was located in Aurora, IL. I am trying to bring up one of their 80286 boards. I cannot locate a manual and have only a partial (handdrawn) schematic which I must have got from them with an early edition of the board.... more »

Interesting Horizon Issue
|
| |
I have a NorthStar Horizon running Lifeboat CP/M. Everything works and the wood is nice on the eyes too. However, it won't run the larger CP/M programs (like Supercalc). The CP/M I'm running is a 48K version and I suspect that's the problem. I've tried the usual MOVCPM business from 56K to 50K, but no go. When I try the resultant OS, it locks up. A little... more »

Have just spent the past two days getting a time/day routine to work with CPM3 and the SD Systems 8IO serial board (with an MM58167 clock chip). Nice to have real time stamping on files. Thanks to the Y2000 patches etc by [link] and others it’s really solid. But here is my problem. CPM has a screwball way of storing the date.... more »

S-100 System Debugging for Beginners.
|
| |
From time to time I get calls or e-mails from people that have an old S-100 system that is "dead" and ask for advice on how to get it going again. Indeed over the years I have blown a few of my own systems and had to resuscitate them. Anyway I added to [link], a page with things I found... more »
