Since my own PC has only 4Mb RAM, can I expect to do anything reasonable
with 4.2 and X-Windows? I must admit the glossy looked inspiring, however
if it limits you to running the environment without applications or only
one application reliably, then I'll wait until I can afford 8Mb.
The brochure only mentions Coh4.2 requirements.
Thanks in advance

You need at least 8 megs to run X11. I'm going to go for 16 megs.

Even on a system with demand paging, X11 would be almost useless
with 4 megs.

I'm running the BETA of X under the 4.2 Alpha and with 8 MB, I can't
start more than 3 clients if I want to compile a hugh program like tin.
IMO, shared libraries are very important if you want to run X with some
clients _and_ want to develop apps...

BTW: tin ewas the only program I had so far which causes to fail because
of 'out of memory'. Minor programs will compile nice...
