OCI has been doing some performance testing to get a feel for latency
on the critical path of market data system.

We combined QuickFAST (an open source decoder) with OpenDDS (also open
source and uses ACE) to create an out of the box low latency system on
commodity, racked hardware. Even lower latencies are possible and we
will be following up with testing on an RTOS good measure.
