Anyway to have pine spell out links in email?
|
| |
Is there some way to get (al)pine to automatically spell out links in an email?
Ie, that pine shows what the address is for link within the displayed
text? (This would for example make most phishing obvious and would also
allow me to cut and paste the link should I happen to want to go to that
link.)... more »

alpine 2.0 not displaying well special characters in external tools
|
| |
I am using PC-Alpine 2.0. In two situations, I see that Alpine wrongly
converts special characters:
1. when displaying HTML in an external browser (Firefox).
2. when including received text in a reply as submitted to an external
editor (gvim).
Here are two examples.
The received message is in character set iso-8859-1 and contains the... more »

Display Speed
|
| |
Just tried another gui, eudora OSE to see if I could stand it. Could not - too many assumptions about the user, who isnt me.
However, for a text based client, I do not understand why alpine is so slow in switching from a message display to a folder display - probably not as slow as 30 seconds, but feels like it. any way to speed this up? Probably I... more »

Bogus attachment notification when composing
|
| |
When I compose a message and try to attach a file which doesn't exist, but has a familiar extension, e.g. .pdf, .doc, .jpg etc I obtain the message "mybug.pdf attached as type application/pdf" instead of "mybug.pdf not found".
Did I miss something in my Setup, Config?

Slow to open compose window
|
| |
I seem to have a new problem here. PC-Alpine runs under Windows8 and
any attempt to open the compose window, either for a new post or a
reply to a message, results in a long pause of 30 sec or so when
Alpine goes unresponsive. Once out of this pause all proceeds as
usual. Then future attempts to open the compose window proceed... more »

Mysteries of re-alpine
|
| |
Starting from: [link] Is re-apline-2.01.exe the executable that replaces alpine.exe or is it an automated installer that expands several files?
alpine.exe is 7.3-MB big and re-apline.exe is much smaller. Does re-alpine has all features of alpine?... more »

filter only OK when IMAP folder is INBOX
|
| |
I have the following problem.
On one of the IMAP servers where I receive mail, there is a "junk
e-mail" folder. Let's call this folder (the real server is a Microsoft
Exchange server; maybe this matters):
"{myimap.com/imap/ssl/user=sab ih/}Junk E-mail"
I want to filter from there some messages that are... more »

Saving passwords and setting up multiple email accounts
|
| |
Hello,
I am a novice with alpine and I am trying to do two things at the moment:
1. To set up a further three email accounts. So far I have only 1 set up but cannot figure how to create the additional accounts. Is it possible to set up multiple imap accounts?
2. To save the passwords for my email accounts so that I will not need to... more »

Reading source code attachments
|
| |
Hi,
Sometimes I read messages having an attachment of type application/x-tex. It is TeX source code, and as any language source it is basically plain text. So I would like to read it in the Alpine window, just like any other plain text attachment. How can I achieve this?
Thanks.

Mouse scroll wheel
|
| |
Hi,
I used to be able to scroll on the index page, and in emails using my mouse scroll wheel (ubuntu 10.04 from repository). However, the alpine version 2.02 (ubuntu 12.04) does not let me do this, regardless of whether I enable mouse in xterm or not.
Any suggestions?
