'end' in initial keystroke list
|
| |
dear all: I'd like pine to start at the last message of my inbox and just tried to add 'end' (as i,End or i,END) to the initial keystroke list. Any ideas what the right syntax for this is, or isn't it possible at all? thanks, Gerald

all text is flashing in Alpine 2.0
|
| |
I am trying to figure out why my Alpine install is now flashing all the text. I don't know if this happened after my Snow Leopard upgrade or if I accidentally turned on this flashing. It is extremely annoying to say the least. Any idea what's going on here? I am using OSX 10.6.1, Terminal.app, and Alpine 2.0... more »

Delete settings in Gmail
|
| |
I figured out how to set up alpine with Gmail so that deleted messages go to the Gmail trash can rather than All Mail. There is a 1.5-year- old thread about this which was never resolved, so I thought I would post my solution. The trick is to do the following in Gmail: 1. Other MUA's never see the name of the backend server that stores their mailboxes, while I do (using Alpine 2.0): I get prompted to authenticate to it separately (at some point during my... more »

LCC displays first member in To: field
|
| |
Howdy, all; I've been using Pine for years, and now Alpine, and am now finding problems with Alpine's 'LCC' address function. Description: 1 Blank 'To' line; GroupName in 'lcc'. 2. GroupName expands, all members listed, and Group description now in 'To' field ... *with* the Full Name of the first member of the group.... more »

possibility of eliminating or hiding the (main) INBOX
|
| |
Hi, I use Alpine 2.0 with a number of different imap providers and I may use (identical) remote configurations on one of the different imap servers (when I am in a different geographical location, out of speed considerations). Alpine always assumes there is some main inbox. In my setup, there is no natural single inbox, and I've configured the inboxes... more »
