I don't know of any PDF guides to Pine, but try this:

1. To start Pine, type

pine

2. To go to the Pine SETUP CONFIGURATION screen, type

MSC

which means Main > Setup > Config

3. Use the arrow key to move to the inbox-path line

4. To change the inbox-path, type

5. At the 'Name of Inbox server :' prompt, type

your.pop.server/pop3

where you replace 'your.pop.server' with the name of your POP
server.

6. At the 'Folder on "your.pop.server/pop3" to use for INBOX'
prompt, type:

INBOX

7. To exit and save your changes, type:

8. To go to the mailbox specified by inbox-path, type

followed by

INBOX

I have written a lot of documents about setting up and using
Pine, which you can find at the links in my sig. None of them are
PDF, but hopefully they will be useful to you anyway. My 'All
