Hello,
I am a novice with alpine and I am trying to do two things at the moment:

1. To set up a further three email accounts. So far I have only 1 set up
but cannot figure how to create the additional accounts. Is it possible to
set up multiple imap accounts?
2. To save the passwords for my email accounts so that I will not need to
enter them each time I access email.

Thanks

alpine may or mab be not compiled with the passfile-option:

hm@regen:~$ alpine -h | grep passfi
-passfile <fully_qualified_filename> Set the password file to something other

It's a compile-time option and has a compile-time default. I compiled it
by myself and configured it before compiling with

./configure --with-passfile=.pinepw

M S C and

[ Folder Preferences ]
[X] Enable Incoming Folders Collection

then you will get a collection called "Incoming-Folders", to which you
can add your additional inboxes for other IMAP accounts.

Thanks for replying. The passfile didn't work for me. I may need to
rebuild it eventually with the option indicated by another poster.
