My guess is that it currently *is* set -- is that correct? After
you have unset this, please type
ML
and copy and paste the FOLDER LIST screen. If it is multiple
pages, please copy & paste all of them.
Thank you,

I went into titan under ssh, and it was, yes; I unset it.

Remember I have little idea what I am talking about.
We need to make titan your "primary collection" and that will (I
hope!) solve the incoming-folder problem you're having. To change
the order, do this:
1] ssh to titan and run pine there
2] to go to the collectionList setup screen, type:
M S L
3] on the SETUP COLLECTION LIST screen, move your cursor to the
titan specification and type:
$ U
This should move it to the top of the list. If it's doesn't, type
'$U' again to keep moving it up to the top.
4] Exit and save your changes.
5] Quit pine.
6] Restart pine and let us know if you are able to use your
incoming folders.
After you do this, you may want to move some of your folders from
your 'Mail' collection to your titan collection. More on that
later!
Good luck,
Nancy

I tried it with lower-case u also. I don't think the error is just because
it was already on top -- if I put the cursor on the other collection, I
get the same error from u.
Maybe you just meant me to use $ for shuffle; I did that, moving it down
and then back up.
> 4] Exit and save your changes.
It just exits; I don't see a save option; but it comes up on top in the
next iteration of M S L. So I tried again, switching them, exiting, doing
it again, switching them back, and exiting yet again.

I've been able to all along -- under ssh. So I tried going in to
titan under the local -p alias for pine again -- and I still get "[Can't
open folder ARTEMIS: no such folder]" and so on.
So I tried MSL under the alias. First it asked me whether to filter
something, then it told me no permission, then that it had failed, then
that it was filtering something (but not into what). That left me still in
M S. I told it L again; this time it let me shuffle the collections,
twice; so I now have
PINE 4.64 SETUP COLLECTION LIST Folder: INBOX 1,279 Messages +
titan.lserv.com IMAP
Folders on titan.lserv.com/novalidate-cert/user=karhunhammas in hom
Mail
Local folders in mail/
just as I did before, both under the alias and under ssh.
And when I go back to M L, put the cursor say on bblx and hit enter, it
still tells me "[Can't open folder bblx: no such folder]"
So I quit pine and went in under the alias a second time. It still wanted
to create a folder; I told it no, went to M L, tried bblx, and still got
"[Can't open folder bblx: no such folder]"
So the difference is still between having it work under ssh, and having it
fail under the alias.
Here's what I have :
[btth@localhost ~]$ cat .bashrc
# .bashrc
# Source global definitions
if [ -f /etc/bashrc ]; then
. /etc/bashrc
fi
# User specific aliases and functions
alias Adelpine='/usr/bin/pine'
alias delpine='/usr/bin/pine'
alias pine='/usr/bin/pine -p "{titan.lserv.com/novalidate-cert/user=karhunhammas}remote_pinerc"'
[btth@localhost ~]$
Is there some typo in there that I'm failing to see??

I'm looking forward to it.
