Filters sort my incoming mail into several folders.
Is there any way to make Alpine display the folder list in a way that
shows if a folder has a new (or unread) message?
Best,
PE
For incoming folders, the answer is yes, see "Enable Incoming Folders
Checking" in the setup screen. For other folders, I don't know (never a
new one going into my non-incoming...).

Thanks.
I will try to be more specific. I get the notification message, I
would like the folders to be listed somehow that I would know an
unread message exists in a folder.
A new color maybe?

Please read the help associated to the option I mentioned, it does do
what you want, for folders in your incoming collection.

I haven't tried/found that yet. It could be nice, but generalizing the
incoming folder collection behavior to all folders would perhaps be
better.

Thanks a lot. I have been away from pine for 5 years and I am happy
to return (stint in novell groupwise system) I never changed the
defaults back then since I only used it at the university labs.
