Hello,
I'm using alpine 2.00 on Fedora 10. I'm hitting an exchange server
2003 via imap. We also have a blackberry enterprise server, and my
issue is how the blackberry server interfaces with imap. If I delete a
msg via imap, the blackberry server doesn't know about it, so the
message stays on my blackberry. I have found that if instead of
deleting, if I save the msg to the 'Deleted Items' folder, then the
blackberry server recognizes that as a delete and removes it from my
blackberry.

So I have changed my default save folder in alpine to 'Deleted Items',
so instead of hitting Del - X, I hit S - Enter - X.

My question is: is there any way to change the delete function so it
does this for me? I don't see any kind of config option for something
like this. I can probably hack the code but I thought I'd ask here
first. Thanks for any help

Never did this, but it looks like Filters fit your needs :
Setup > Rules > Filters. Help there says filters are applied in particular
when expunging. Set up a filter to move deleted messages, then D - X
should do the trick.
