(al)pine is my favorite news reader. Been addicted to it since I first
started using Linux (around 99). I tried using mutt and other
similarly interesting news readers, but none of them was a good enough
replacement for the great curses interface of pine. Now that Microsoft
opened their protocol specs, it would be handy to see support for this
available so me and certainly a ton of other users, would be able to
drop off outlook. :-)
