Yes. I don't know if it will make it into Pine 4.00, but probably the
next release after that...=20

What for? If you want threads, use mutt or Gnus. Duhhh...

Sigh. I like to think it's just the Linux people who want to be on the
"leading edge" so bad they walk right off the precipice. (C.E. Groeschel)
Then this would be a good time to mention common problems with threading:
1) dopes who hit ``reply/followup'' to start a new thread (this happens a
lot)
2) folks who are using newsreaders who don't keep the In-Reply-To/References
headers,
and the Subject line is all that is kept
3) Wide-afield topics which are only loosely connected:
Ie I post ``Hey I hate spam and boy isn't it a shame about the Indians''
There isn't a whole lot PINE can do about 1 and 3, but they can do something
about 2 at least...

My FROM address is fake. It does not exist. It never has. It is
not even currently possibly real. I'll check back for followups.
This is the ``least-worst'' solution to dealing with spammers.
Remove spaces luomat + pine @ luomat.peak.org
Pine already adds both References and In-Reply-To - the former, at
least, _is_ a standards requirement.
It just doesn't use them for anything itself. Which presumably means
that pine users are less likely to know about threads and so will more
easily do mistake (1).
It would be nice if Pine could satisfy the Minimally Adequate
Net-Keeping Seal of Approval (http://www.xs4all.nl/%7Ejs/manksa/)

Finally, I propose that Cyberpromo and Agis be destroyed.
