PC Alpine cannot see the mail server

I'm still having problems with setting up the latest PC Alpine
available.

Any tips on putting up an older version without going back as far as
DOS?

The error given is for an insecure mail server which occurs during
installation, so using setup > config is not possible.

My isp has given me the server settings, but pine cannot see the
connection I use everyday with webmail.
