Description: The Mutt E-Mail Client.

GPG post-processing to remove hushmail carriage returns
Hushmail arrives with MS-DOS-formatted text. Ideally mutt would strip out the trailing ^M's on decryption. What's the best way to do that?

old versus new listing
I wonder, is there a way in this newsgroup to have the new messages up furst and the older ones at the bottom. It would be a better way to look at the mail in this newsgroup. -- Ted Gervais (ve1drg) 1464 Luxury Ave Windsor Ontario

.muttrc
I am new to MUTT and am trying to set it up. But I have no docs on what should be in the .muttrc file. Can someone post an example of what I should have in there. -- Ted Gervais (ve1drg) 1464 Luxury Ave Windsor Ontario

Decrypt attachment
Hello, Sorry if this is a common question or if the answer is out there; if I've seen it I haven't been able to make sense of it. I'm using mutt 1.5.21 on OSX. I'm able to decrypt encrypted messages but not encrypted attachments (otherwise than by saving them and decrypting them by hand). Here's my mutt/gpg configuration:... more »

syntax coloring of ':' lines
I am subscribed to a couple of vim mailing lists and when someone shows a command and it begins with ':' mutt shows it to me colored as if it is quoted text. Many times the only text from a responder is a command that will solve the OP's problem, making it difficult for me to find anything in the... more »

Attach JPG in .signature
Is it possible to attach a JPG (or GIF, TIFF, etc) as my .signature file in MUTT? I tried using (set signature) in .muttrc, but that just loads in gibberish. Is there a way to load a picture as a signature file as an auto- attachment on every email? It does work if I use (a) for attach-file before I send the msg. But... more »

Using Mutt with Gmail with an effective filter of "in:inbox in:important" (ie. neither just important mail nor just the inbox)
Hello mutt users and discussers, Currently I am successfully seeing everything in my Inbox when I execute mutt but I don't want to see the entire Inbox. I pretty much have almost everything the way I want it otherwise though. I also don't want to see all Important mail regardless of if it's in the Inbox or not. I have approximately 65000 emails in my Important mailbox - for comparison I have about 21000 in my Sent mailbox. I have had a Gmail account for a very long time now and I use it for everything.... more »
