Hello,
The extended ascii char(s) used to create the threading pointers don't
display properly in a text console/terminal. They do display properly
in an xterm. Is there a configuration item I can use to get rid of the
garbage currently displayed? And a way for me to tell mutt to
differentiate between the types of terminals in which it is called?
I generally prefer to work in a standard console, not an xterm, and only
use the windowing system for graphical interface tools that require it.
(Note, in the console I use screen.)
Thanks.

this: Don't do it. I have been out there. It is a mess.
