Mutt has been dumping email more than one year old.

I would like to save all email but I don't know where the command to dump is
located.

Could someone please direct me to the place to change the dump command?

It is unclear whether you mean that Mutt is deleting mail or moving it
to another mailbox. Could you clarify please?

If $move is set to 'yes', then mail will automatically be moved from
your inbox[1] to your read mail folder[2]. The default is to ask before
doing so.

If Mutt is moving/deleting messages of a certain age automatically,
there is a more complex configuration in action. Perhaps use of the
push command with a date pattern in a folder-hook.

1. Your inbox is set via $spoofile else defaults to MAILPATH -- see the
output of 'mutt -v'.
2. Read mail is moved to the folder defined by $mbox.
