Nail mailrc save/write 'no active mailbox'

I can w 'dog' dog.file manually from inside nail but if I do it in mailrc I get 'cannot execute write without active mailbox' I did this a decade ago by somehow moving my mail from virtual IMAP cache space to a hard file.. it may be as simple as mbox ~/mbox in mailrc but I don't remember and have no records... more »

...I might have figured it out. ALLOW_X_CONNECTIONS in /etc/security/msec/{level.secu re|level.standard|security.con f} can be set to {yes|no|local}. For the standard security level this is set to "local". I changed it to "no" using Mandriva's system admin GUI (mcc) in the Security section. I hope it works permanently and doesn't break anything else.... more »
