I have an all-new web and mail server, and it works fairly well,
controlled via Plesk 8.3. It does everything I need so far,
except for a few little kinks where Plesk is unnecessarily
restrictive.
There is only one thing that is a severe hindrance. The qmail
that came with the server does perfect SPF checking, but when I
set an address to mail-forwarding, it doesn't do SRS (the header
rewriting that's required for SPF to work through a forwarding
chain).
I don't even know how I can find out the version of qmail that's
running, but I would dearly like to get the SRS thing to work.
I must admit that I also don't know how SRS functions. I just
see those strange domain keays in the forwarded headers, but
don't understand what exactly they're for.
My knowledge of Linux is limited but mostly functional. I can't
really install a software package, but all the smaller things
I've already mostly got used to. Something like
ps -elf | egrep qmail
already flows from the fingers. (:-)
Any hints are welcome.
