Please help me locate mail messages
My Broser is: Internet Explorer ver:6.0.2800.1106IC
My Mail Program is: Outlook Express ver: 6.00.2800.1106 [ftp]
I use an independent ISP [not Microsoft etc.]
Problem: when I opened outlook express the Microsft page came up
with a question: Is Outlook Express your default mail server?
When I answered "yes" the mail page came up as a new page;
NOT showing my old mail nmessages etc.
I reset my information so my mail would link to my ISP server mail
service.
[I do not know how this info was lost!]
This got my mail service working correctly except -
I still do not have my old messages "Sent, Not Read, Saved folders".
The one thing I did that I thought might have caused this problem is:
I deleted my temporary internet cookies and temporary internet files.
My ISP rep said that would not cause this problem and refered me to
this
help site.
I have been told that the mail files are in a folder on the hard drive
under the file name of "*.dbx" and the only way to access them is by
some action by the browser:
MY QUESTION IS: How do I accomplish this feat ??
Thank You In Advance!

In article <3c3848e9.03072...@posting.google.com>,
ra...@chaffee.net says...
Do a search for *.dbx files. When you have found them, make a note of
their location. In OE create a new Identity and go to File-Import.
Import the dbx files that you found.
