The search box disappeared

from my version 7.1.0.9 of Eudora today.

As far as I know I did not change any settings, and would like the
search box back on the button bar.

I have been using the program for more than a decade. And love it.

Left click on the button bar and see if "Search Bar" is checked. Check
it if not.

Yes, it's well known that puckish spirits hibernate after Halloween,
then return in Spring to continue changing settings unbeckoned,
if insufficient payout was furnished in the Autumn :)

Oh yes, the "Search Box"!

Could you remind us which of the several things
with names containing the word "search"
the object of your quest happens to be?

Could you describe what it does,
and whether it has merely moved or gone out of sight,
or is it a tool button to summon a "search box"
(rather than a box that's always present)
which has either moved or disappeared?

Right-click on your main toolbar in any case;
something then visible may have something to do with your issue.

Why expect such fast service, when no "tip in advance,"
in the form of a clear expression of what you mean,
has yet to have been paid to the Maītre d' ?

E.g. "Search Bar" (no longer works on web),
"Find Messages" tool button,
"Find Text" tool button, ...

The suggestion to right click worked. Somehow the search box had been unchecked.
