The DontShowUpdates setting works only with Eudora 4.3.2.

If you have Eudora Pro 4.2.2 on CD, yes, otherwise you'll have to install
from CD, then update to 4.2.2.

Two questions before I snap!
1. I have 4.3.1 and the update notice is driving me nuts, I delete the

Try deleting all of the lines that begin with "NG". There are likely to be
five NGBase-NGLast pairs, two or three NGLoc and one NGUpdate.
