(v 7.1.0.9, light mode, running since forever.)

Eudora went a little rogue on me today, and wouldn't let me open any
of its folders. I cleared this by re-setting to 'free' mode. (I
think it had switched to 'sponsored'.) I didn't make any other
changes. Things seem OK, except it's using a very old address book.

The nndbase.txt file matches what I see when I open the address book
in Eudora. That same folder contains a 'nickname' folder, which
appears to have all of my 'good' address book info, in pairs of .txt
and .toc files. Is there a way to get Eudora to use the 'nickname'
folder info?

Thanks,
George

Yes. Switch to Sponsored or Paid mode. The Light mode doesn't allow
additional address books.

I have to say, that took care of it. If asked, I would have sworn
adamantly that I'd been running Light mode. Alas.

Thanks,
