Msgs showing up as HTML coding?
|
| |
I have some recently received messages in my Eudora IN box that I could read OK when they first arrived, but now appear as HTML code, full of HTML markup. Could this have something to do with my having recently "upgraded" to 6.2.4 (from (6.2.2 as best I remember)? Is there a preference I should re-set? (What pane? I don't see a "Read... more »

iBook G4 1.2GHz/768MB RAM, OS 10.4.11, Eudora 6.2.4 paid. On opening Eudora earlier tonight, I got an error message saying Eudora couldn't find the Attachments Folder. There were three options, Choose New, OK and one I've forgotten. I clicked OK. Then I went to the Settings -> Attachments, where it showed a blank... more »

Problems in switching between Macs
|
| |
Last week I was out of town at a conference, so I copied all my Eudora folders from my Power Mac to my MacBook. I had no problems sending or receiving mail that week. When I got home, I copied the updated folders back to my Power Mac. All was fine for a couple of days, but I just realized a few minutes ago that Eudora hadn't downloaded... more »

Global spelling correction in a Eudora mailbox?
|
| |
I misspelled a name in a lot of email correspondence (used "Kelley" instead of "Kelly"), in message bodies, Subject headers, etc Bunch of sent and received messages containing this misspelling are all in a single Eudora 6.2.4 mailbox (the kind with an associated .toc file) on my MacBook. Anyone think I can get away with opening the mailbox file in a text... more »

I'm giving gmail a try and got it set up and working as an IMAP account. All well, except it adds it's own nested bunch of folders. I get the usual Eudora Inbox, Junk etc. folders *plus* a [Gmail] folder with more inside, which is where gmail stores mail by default: gmail Inbox Junk [Gmail]... more »

MailForge (was Odysseus) now in 1.0
|
| |
MailForge 1.0 has been released. For details, see: [link] This is the program that was formerly known as Odysseus, the self-proclaimed successor to Eudora (not created by the creators of Eudora). I make no claims as to whether this is actually a 1.0 product.... more »

A "?" appears in the status column
|
| |
Just recently Eudora hung up and had to Force Quit. I re-booted the computer and re-opened Eudora. There are many more messages in the IN mailbox than before and a lot of them have a question mark(?) in the status column. Many of these are duplicates of the ones still in the TRASH Mailbox. The only reference in the manual indicates that it is a... more »

Eudora display
|
| |
Until recently I clicked the Eudora icon to open it. Now, it keep opening itself every two or three minutes -- usually when I'm in the middle of doing something else. Very frustrating. Advice appreciated. i...@thewritingworks.com John K. Mackenzie

Converting from Mail to Eudora
|
| |
I have a mailbox in Mail that I would like to convert to a Eudora mailbox. (Eudora 6.2.4, Mac OS 10.5.7). I've tried Emailchemy, which converts into what should be a standard mailbox format. And I've then tried importing this into Eudora using the Import Mailbox item in the File menu. This doesn't work for me. The only clue I maybe have is that the first... more »
