can xHarbour use DDE to communicate with other windows apps ??

Is there any sample ?

Yes. It depends on the called / calling programs API. It is a pretty
old interchange protocol, you may find difficulty in locating another
current program that still uses it, and does not offer something more
robust instead / in-addition.

It depends on the called / calling programs API. Should be very
similar to COM, OLE, and so on.

Acrobat Reader can be used via DDE. OLE does not realy work with Reader.
