on tcl.tk is linking to an error page
may someone please fix it and replace it with
https://core.tcl.tk/tips/doc/trunk/index.md

I think https://tip.tcl.tk is the definitive link - it does redirect to the second one you've given, but for bookmarking purposes I think (?) it's a better one to use.

Yes. We've moved where it is hosted in the past, so links that used the
old thing it resolved to (a host at ActiveState) will be wrong whereas
links that use tip.tcl.tk will be… well, at least *less wrong* in that
they end up somewhere fairly relevant. :-)

That is fine, but https://tip.tcl-lang.org/ is a better choice for
the "definitive link" designation these days.

I think this is the first time I've ever come across the tcl-lang.org domain name - and I note that "www.tcl-lang.org" gives the same site as "www.tcl.tk", including the banner image at the top which mentions the tcl.tk domain. Is tcl-lang.org intended as a replacement/successor for tcl.tk? (And if so, why? The latter, to me, seems snappier, more memorable, and is more long-standing...)

We are finding that in some circles, and apparently in an increasing
number of them, the *.tk set of domains have a poor reputation, leading
to them being blocked or otherwise not as reliably available as other
domains. Whatever *.tcl.tk gains in being "snappy", it more than loses
in being unable to reach.

This is a recent change in emphasis, and we do not have any short term
plan to turn off *.tcl.tk . You can still use those names. But more and
more we want to encourage folks to pass along *.tcl-lang.org as the
"official" name to get greatest odds of successful connections.
