Can I define bindings click to a menu?

I mentioned this on a side but decided to open a separate topic.
I am using right-click menus or alternatively a menu from menubutton.
I would like to consider a possibility of binding a right-mouse click to menu item or keypress - for instance del-key. I just do not know if it is possible and what name I should use for the widget?
Has anyone any experience on this?
